Martha Loy Wallace, 99, a lifelong resident of Haines City, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 2, 1925, in Haines City to Loy Duvall and Marietta Rae Allen Watts and lived there her entire life.
Martha was just months away from her 100th birthday, a milestone that reflected her strength, wisdom, and steady presence. She worked as a teller at the State Bank of Haines City for 23 years, retiring in 1988. She was a woman of strong Christian faith and a kind, caring soul who touched many lives.
She loved spending time in her garden and enjoyed traveling throughout her life. Martha was known for her gentle nature, her compassion for others, and her deep love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loy Duvall and Marietta Rae Allen Watts; her husband, Norman Earl Wallace; her son, David Wallace; her sisters, Mary Watts Collins and Dorothy Watts Blount; and her brothers, Charles "Buddy" Watts and James "Sunny" Watts.
Martha is survived by her sons, John Wallace of Haines City and Paul Wallace (Karen) of Lakeland; daughter-in-law, Patty Wallace of Davenport; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Her family will remember her as a source of warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m., both at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. Martha will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Aunt Martha will be deeply missed. I will miss the letters that she used to send me. I have kept several of them and reread them from time to time. The family is in our prayers.

The members of the Haines City Historical Museum are saddened to lose our faithful member Martha. She loved our heritage, our pioneers and all our citizens. It was important to her that everyone knew the history of our area and to be proud of heritage. Our deepest sympathies to her family and loved ones. Nell Johnson, Secretary.

My dear sweet neighbor May you Rest in Peace. I will miss your smile, bubbly personality and amusing telephone conversations, but most of all, I will miss the "chocolate chip cookies". God Speed
