Martha Jo Warriax, 79, passed away October 9, 2025 surrounded by her family. Martha Jo was born June 25, 1946 in Charlotte, NC to the late Brice and Sally Dorton Cochran. Martha will be remembered for the love she showed to others. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Although Martha loved being a housewife, she also loved getting out and traveling with her husband, Mike, in the big truck. She always stayed close with her family and was overjoyed that her sisters were hairdressers in the same building together. As a wonderful cook, dinner at Martha's was unforgettable; especially if she was making her famous potato salad. Martha also enjoyed the little things in life. She could often be found riding around on the Side-by-Side, fishing, or running the turkey farm. She also cherished the times she was able to escape to the beach to ride around on her golf cart or taking a fun get-away to Harrah's Cherokee Casino. Martha will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A service to celebrate Martha Jo's life will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Holland Funeral Service - Marshville, 136 E. Main Street, Marshville, NC 28103.
