Martha Ann Williams, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Martha was a proud member of Okolona Christian Church, Compass Club of Louisville, Camp Quality, Relay For Life, Rainbow Girls, and a Kentucky Colonels over 50 years. She enjoyed soft ball, bowling, playing with her grandchildren, and living life to the fullest.
She was born on January 25, 1953 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Roy and Clara (Ashley) Glaspie. Martha was a 1971 graduate from Butler High School in Louisville. On July 16, 1983 Martha married David Williams and with this happy union they have four children. She worked at Tube Turns as a operator. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, David Glaspie.
Martha is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, David Williams; four sons, Eric (Tanya) Rakutt, Kevin (Barbara) Williams, Kenny (Lori) Williams, and Scott (Maureen) Williams; sister, Donna (David) Glaspie Masino; brother, Steve (Teresa) Glaspie; sister in law, Donna Glaspie; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins; and loved and cherished by her extended family and friends.
The Williams' family would like to give a special thank you to the caregivers at Hosparus and the many Angels at the Hildegard House for the special care they provided to Martha and her family.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) and Friday, August 16, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.
The family requests that contributions in Martha’s memory be made to Hildegard House or Okolona Christian Church.
