Smith & Heald Funeral HomeMarthe M. Woods, 80, resident of Milford, NH, died on December 4, 2025, at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH, after a period of declining health.
She was born on July 14, 1945, in Coaticook, Canada, the daughter of the late Alexander and Rose (Cameron) LaFerrière. She is pre-deceased by her husband William A Woods of Derry, NH.
Marthe was raised and educated at École Sacré-Cœur in Coaticook, Quebec.
She married William A.Woods, and together made their home in Greenville and Lyndeborough, NH for many years, before settling in Milford, NH. She owned and operated WAW Cleaning Services with her husband Bill, and continued to operate their cleaning business for many years after he passed in 2016. She and Bill were longtime members of the Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Milford, NH. Marthe enjoyed reading the bible, bible study group and going out to eat with friends and family. She adored her dog Ray-Ray, Rufus, Cote and Banita which she shared with Bill.
Survivors include her sister, Denise Cameron of Mississippi.
She is pre-deceased by her Brothers: Joseph A.R. LaFerrière of Madbury, NH, Jean LaFerrière of Florida, Germain LaFerrière of California, Lucien LaFerrière of Manchester, NH, Raymond LaFerrière of Springhill Florida, Andre LaFerrière of Bedford NH.
She is pre-deceased by her Sisters: Theresa LaFerrière of Canada, Rita LaFerrière of Bedford, NH. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews throughout the US and Canada.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Colonial Hills Baptist Church, 54 Melendy Road, Milford, NH. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Milford, NH.
