Martin Joseph Bergin

Born on August 18, 1949 to Edward and Mary Bergin of Waterbury, CT. He was a graduate of Scared Heart High School, St. Leo College, and the American Academy McAllister Institute, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025 in Melbourne, FL.

Preceding him in death are his parents and siblings Pat, Mike, John, and Tony. He is survived by his wife Julie, brother Bill, sisters Ellyn, Maggie and Liz, his children Martin and Meghan, son-in-law Chuck, 3 grandchildren Tacey, Ayden and Charlotte, his many brother and sister-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered for his kind, gentle manner and his unwavering commitment to bettering the lives of people in need through his chosen professions and organization associations.

He held service organization memberships in Knights of Columbus (4th degree), Elk and Lion clubs as well as many professional associations, and jobs as an Ambulance Driver,

Pole Lineman, Paver, Plower, Funeral Director, Nursing Home Administrator (licensed in way too many states), and lastly a, mostly midnight, Uber Driver.

Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church located at 1710 Hickory Street, Melbourne, FL 32901 on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 11am.

In his final years, he benefited from the kindness of others by being the recipient of lifesaving blood products. In his honor and in lieu of flowers, please consider donating blood to your local blood bank for those in need.
