Martin A. "Marty" Columbo (Ret. BPD) aka "L" VIS of Dedham, October 1, 2025. Beloved husband of Patricia" Patty" (Robinson) Columbo. Loving father of Victoria Rampino and her husband Patrick of SC, Jennifer Francis and her husband Michael of Hyde Park, Timothy Columbo of Roslindale, Martin Columbo and his wife Cristina of Roslindale and Gregory McWhinnie of Dedham. Beloved son of the late Joseph and Claire Columbo. Grandfather of Gianna, Lucas, Tianamarie, Jovan and Eliana. Brother-in-law of Helen Columbo of Canton and the late Joseph Columbo. Nephew of Mary Grella of Norwood and Barbara Chermesino of Dedham. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Marty was involved in several organizations. He was the Past Post Commander of Boston Police VFW Post 1018 and Past VFW District 1 Commander, Past Commander of the Dedham American Legion Post 18, Past Commander Amvets 1636, Past Commander DAV Chapter 42 was the Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council Jamaica Plain 170, and member of the Combined Veterans Council.
Visiting Hours at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Thursday, October 9th from 3-7pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Friday, October 10th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, 420 High St. Dedham. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marty may be made to VFW National Home, 3573 S Waverly Rd, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827 or at vfwnationalhome.org
