He lived in the area for twenty years coming from Portage. Marty was a Veteran of the US Army and lifetime member of the Walkerton American Legion. He was also a member of the SOKOL Lodge in Whiting and was a friend to everyone he met. Marty loved his classic cars, drag racing and woodworking. He was an avid outdoorsman who especially liked to hunt and fish.
Marty is survived by two daughters Heather (Brandon) Ferch of Hamlet and Hali (Mark Bracken) Dean of Mill Creek; five grandchildren Peyton, Reese, Joslyn, Fischer, and Evolett; three sisters Marsha Dean, Jane Wendlinger, and Sandy Davis; his previous wife and current caregiver Marlene Yager; and his previous wife Monica Dean. He is preceded in death by his parents
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 CDT Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at the Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel.
