Martin Marquez Herrera

Martin Marquez Herrera, age 66, of Muleshoe, Texas, died Thursday, August 21, 2025 in Muleshoe. He was born July 29, 1959 in Praxedis G. Guerrero, Mexico to Elias and Engracia (Herrera) Marquez. He married Gregoria Flores in Mexico.

Martin loved to sing, play guitar and dance. He was also an avid coffee drinker and loved to eat. Martin was a hard worker all of his life. He loved to make friends and never met a stranger. Martin was a member of Centro Cristiano in Muleshoe. He was the Lord's servant and loved to go to church. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Martin is survived by his wife, Gregoria; his two sons, Martin Marquez of Chihuahua, Mexico and Israel Marquez of Guadalupe, Mexico; his two daughters, Monica Herrera and LuLu Rivera of Muleshoe, Texas and Selene Marquez of Juarez, Mexico; three sisters, Olga Marquez and Gregorio Perez of Muleshoe, Texas, Yolanda Marquez and David Barraza of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Elvira Marquez of Tornillo, Texas; four brothers, Juan Marquez and Raquel Estrada of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jose Marquez Herrera of Juarez, Mexico, Elias Marquez of Hereford, Texas and Dionicio Marquez of Tornillo, Texas; and his thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
