Martin L. Koy, 80, died peacefully on August 14, 2025.

Born in Perth Amboy to the late Stephen and Elizabeth Koy, nee Grossman, he was raised in Lawrence Harbor and graduated from Sayreville War Memorial High School in 1963. He went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army being honorably discharged as a Sargeant in 1966. Martin continued in a civilian role with the United States Government until 1970. He began his career with The Securities Industry Automation Corporation (SIAC) is a subsidiary of the NYSE Euronext until his retirement.

Martin was an avid New York Yankee and New York Giants fan. He was active with the Somerville YMCA, the local men's group, as well as an advocate for the NRA. He was a true American Patriot who loved his country and his family. Martin enjoyed watching Sci-Fi, especially Star Wars and Star Trek, and spending time riding his Harley. He found the most joy in the quality time spent with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his dear son, Scott Koy, Brother Stephen Koy and wife Linda Koy.

Surviving are his loving daughter Kelly Samra and husband Bob, his daughter in law Sharon Koy, his cherished grandchildren Rebecca Koy, Matthew Koy, William Samra, and Jack Samra, as well as his extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.

Funeral Services will be private.
