Martin McLaughlin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Egizi Funeral Home on Jan. 9, 2026.
Martin John McLaughlin

On January 8, 2026, of Bushkill, PA. Age 75. Devoted father of Michelle Apgood (Greg), Brian McLaughlin, and Nicholas McLaughlin. Cherished son of the late Martin J. and Dorothy (nee Marron) McLaughlin. Dear brother of Christina McLaughlin (Laura Szatny), Cornelius McLaughlin, John Joseph (Bernadette) McLaughlin and the late Thomas McLaughlin. Loved by many nieces and nephews.

Marty truly loved his life in Bushkill. He spent his time there catching up with friends, visiting favorite restaurants and coffee shops, and enjoying his home. He was passionate about his car projects-usually a Saab or Subaru-and took great pleasure in driving them. One of his favorite traditions was a run to the shore for Manco & Manco pizza.

His work at the government was a source of pride and satisfaction; he genuinely loved helping people and often spoke warmly about his colleagues and experiences there. But perhaps what defined him most was his character: a devoted father and trusted friend, quick-witted and generous, always willing to lend a hand. His aim was always true-whether at work or in life, he knew how to make his mark and make people laugh.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday, 9:30 – 11:00 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service at 11:00 am on site. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In honor of Martin's life, in lieu of flowers or other acts of sympathy, his family would encourage any donations to the American Cancer Society
