Martin Ramos

Martin Ramos, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024, at the age of 58. Born on March 27, 1966, Martin's life was characterized by his vibrant spirit and his unwavering commitment to his family and friends.
Martin's legacy is lovingly carried on by his daughter, Sarah Suzanne McKeever-Ramos, and his adored grandchildren, John Anthony Guerrero Jr. and Scarlett Texas Montgomery. He was a devoted brother to Manuel (Rita) Ramos III, and a beloved uncle to Monica Ramos and Robert (Stephanie) Ramos. His extended family, including aunts Frances O. Garza (Henry), Beatrice Hinojosa, Yolando Alonzo, and a host of great-nephews and nieces, will hold his memory in their hearts forever.
Preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Ramos Jr. and Lydia O. Ramos, Martin is also reunited in eternity with his love, Amy McKeever, his brother Mike (Mac) Ramos Sr., his nephew Mike Ramos Jr., and his uncles and aunts, Raul Ornelas, Thomas Ornelas, Margarita O. Cantu, and Fransisca Ornelas.
Martin's life was one of joyous engagement with the world around him. He found pleasure in the simple things: spending time with his grandchildren, enjoying the company of family and friends, and savoring good food at local eateries. Martin was known for his love of cruising around downtown, walking the bayfront, and attending family barbecues where his laughter and stories were as abundant as the food on the grill.
A friend to all, Martin never met a stranger; he could strike up a conversation with anyone he encountered. His warm and inclusive nature meant his home was often filled with visitors, and his generous spirit made everyone feel welcome. Martin's ability to connect with people from all walks of life was a testament to his open heart and genuine interest in others.
Throughout his life, Martin demonstrated an admirable strength and resilience, facing life's challenges with grace and a positive outlook. His infectious smile and hearty laugh will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
