Martin Silva, 70, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in Richardson, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home, located at 8310 S. Coulter, Amarillo, Texas. A Rosary will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Martin was born on July 30, 1955, in Robstown, Texas, to Jose M. Silva and Alicia Garza Silva. He married the love of his life, Margarita Silva, in 1973, and devoted his life to providing for and caring for his family.
He worked for Coca-Cola for more than 25 years, traveling throughout the Texas Panhandle and making friends everywhere he went. After retiring, Martin pursued business ventures of his own.
Martin was loved by many. He had a special gift for making people laugh and smile, and with his kind heart, he never met a stranger. If he wasn’t giving you a hard time, just wait—he would. He cherished time spent with family and had a way of making every moment memorable.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margarita Silva; his children, Lee Silva and wife Sharon, Naomi Silva and fiancé Detrick Whiteside, and Christopher Silva and wife Jennifer; his brothers and sisters, Josie Rodriguez, Juan Silva, Lupe Rangel, Terrie Silva, Ruben Silva, and Fidencio Jr. Silva; his grandchildren, Brody Silva, Emma Silva, Karyn Silva, Nolan Quintanilla, Kylee Silva, Donte Silva, Adrian Martinez, Dominque Silva, and Chandler Martinez; and his great-grandchildren, Paiton Martinez, Addilyn Silva, Deborah Martinez, Kambrie Silva, and others who loved him dearly.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Jose M. Silva and Alicia Garza Silva, and his brothers, Natividad Silva and Fidencio Silva.
Martin’s memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
