Marty Alan Sexton went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 4, 2021, with his wife Dianne by his side. Marty was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Albert Sexton and the late Juanita Sexton. Marty will be remembered for lighting up a room with his personality and love for life. He grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and attended Southern High School. After many years in the food industry, Marty became an owner of Waffle Houses in Paducah and the Kentucky Lakes area. After meeting the love of his life, Dianne, they moved to Florida and settled in Jacksonville. Marty had a love of sports and was a Miami Hurricane fan to the core. He attended spring games, regular season games and national championships. Marty became a Landstar Agent and found his niche. For the next 10 years Marty built his business and earned recognition with Sales Revenue Awards. He and Dianne loved the beach, spending time with family and friends, traveling and working in their flower garden at home.
Marty is preceded in death by his mother Juanita Sexton. Survivors are his wife Dianne Kenney Sexton, father Albert Sexton, three brothers Rick (Sheri) Sexton, Tim (Sherry) Sexton and Ron (Tami) Sexton, nieces and nephews Tiffany (Jeremy) Riggs, Derek Sexton, Christiane (Larry) Williams, Brittany (Will) Hobbs, Meagan (Jason) Boudreaux, Lindley (Justin) Adkins, Ashley (Jason) Arias, Aaron Sexton, Courtney (Bennet) Davis and Nicholas Sexton, and 13 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 11, 2021, with Rick Sexton officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Naugle Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1203 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32207. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 - 6:00 pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at 6:00 pm.
