Scott was born on March 7, 1952 in Denver, CO and was a lifelong resident of Golden, CO. He proudly served in the US Army in the early 1970's. His time in the military helped prepare him for a career as a truck driver eventually becoming a project manager for an Environmental company for 27 years. His many years on the road gave him the opportunity to spend time in many different places across the country. He finally retired and settled down in Wheat Ridge, CO.
Scott loved the outdoors and could often be found fishing at a few of his favorite spots. He had a huge fascination with trains and could go on for hours about them. He also had a deep appreciation for history and learning new things. He was a kind and loving man. There wasn't a person or animal who didn't like Scott. He was very easy to get along with. Scott was a really silly guy who enjoyed making people laugh and smile. He loved food, music, concerts, plays, and even Robin's old black and whites. He will be missed more than words can say.
Scott loved and cherished his family very much. There wasn't a time where he would turn down the opportunity to help or spend time with his loved ones. Even babysitting his nephew Ryan's dog Bliss. After retirement, Scott spent a lot of his time taking his Great Niece Azlynn "MG" to gymnastics, they were best friends.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents Jeanette(Hendricks)Graves & Harvey Ailport, sister Sherry Baxter, and daughters Jennifer & Kimberly Ailport
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Robin Vondran, son Eric Ailport, daughter in law Denise Ailport, siblings Harvey Ailport Jr, Nancy Mason, Terry Ailport, and Kim Ailport. Grandchildren Zachary(partner Lexus Darby), Benjamin, Abigail "Cutie", and Kaylee Ailport, Dominique & Christopher Ailport, Justin Ailport, and Skylene Simpson. Great Granddaughter Alaska Ailport. Furr Baby Darla.
He is also survived by his sister and brother in laws Shelly & Larry Christopherson, Nadine & Sammy Menzor, Terri & Scott Turner, and Bob Vondran. Niece Samantha "The Girl", Great Niece Azlynn "MG", Nephews Ryan "Weasel" & Adam "Turtle" Christopherson, Jonathan "Johnson", Stephen, & David Vondran, Dalton & Stone Turner. Lifelong best friends/ cousins, Gene "Bubby" Newcomm, Mike & David Brown, and the entire Newcomm and Brown families who meant the world to Scott.
Scott is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins as well as extended family in California, Oregon, Ohio, and Idaho.
Scott was an organ donor. His corneas were donated, thanks to ongoing generosity, two people can now see the world through his eyes.
