Funeral services for Marvin Boyce, age 87 of Shelbyville, TN will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Reverend Jon Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Wheel Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Boyce passed from this life Sunday, January 8, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family and the loving care of Hospice Compassus following an extended illness.
Visitation with the family will be held 4-7P.M. Monday, January 9, 2023, at the funeral home.
Marvin was born on November 30, 1935, in Bedford County he was son of the late James Forest Boyce and Aline Crowell Boyce. He was a member of Shiloh Outreach Church, was a lifelong Dairy Farmer and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
Marvin is survived by: his loving wife of 64 years Jerry Sue Boyce; children, Jennifer (Sam) Trott, Bryan (Angela) Boyce, and Trent Boyce all of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Belinda (Matt) Bunt of Birmingham Al, Jeremy (Rachael) Trott, James Robert (Laura) Trott, Tabitha Paschal, Everette (Nicky)Boyce all of Shelbyville; great grandchildren, Hollie & Heidi Boyce, Bryleigh & Fisher Paschal, McCartney, Harrison, & Lucy Trott, Haley & Alaura Bunt, and Caleb Trott; siblings, Jewel Williams, Joe (Linda) Boyce, and Frank (Mamie) Boyce all of Shelbyville.
Along with his parents Marvin was preceded in death by siblings; M.A. Evans and Billy Boyce.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shiloh Outreach Church building fund by mail: 3409 Sims Rd. Shelbyville, TN 37160.
