Reverend Marvin R. Conyers, the youngest son of the late Pete Conyers, Sr. and Rosa Spy Conyers, was born on August 13, 1956 in Manning, South Carolina.
He attended the public schools of Clarendon County and graduated from Manning High School. At an early age, Marvin professed his faith in Jesus Christ. Later in life, he joined The Faith Center in Manning, South Carolina, where he was a dedicated and active member, assisting the church in any way he could.
Reverend Conyers' mission was to serve God, bringing souls to Christ. He was a faithful, devoted, and compassionate man who impacted everyone he encountered. The love of God was in his heart. His dedication, love for people, and commitment knew no bounds and will forever remain. Amongst his closest friends and family, we all knew him as a man who loved to pray, laugh and, most importantly, eat! As a result of his generous spirit and comedic personality, he was loved by many. As an employee, he worked in the construction industry for over two decades and was employed by the City of Manning before retiring.
Marvin quietly departed this life on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Mcleod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC. He was preceded in death by his siblings: George Conyers, Pete Conyers Jr., William Conyers, Josie Cooper, Cassie Calvin, and Jeff Conyers.
His life will forever be cherished in the lives of those he left on earth: one son, Shaun O. (Maresce) Conyers of Elgin, SC; grandchildren, Ashaunsia (Jarell) Bradley of Spartanburg, SC, Shaun (Jiscel) Conyers, Jr. of San Antonio, TX and Ethan Conyers of Elgin, SC; brother, Ulysses J. (Susan) Conyers and sister, Virbria Conyers both of Manning, SC; two sisters-in-law, Mollie Conyers of Hackensack, NJ and Gloria Conyers of Bronx, NY; a host of close nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
