I met Marvin about 13 years ago while working in Deadwood. He had backed his old van and trailer into another car and driven off without ever knowing what he had done. We laughed about that story quite a few times over the years, and I always enjoyed visiting with him when he came to town. He would always keep me posted on the mileage on his van and then later his Jeep. He also used to ride the trolley around town with my father just so they could talk. I can say that not only myself, but the entire staff at The Lodge at Deadwood will miss him.

We were sad to hear of Marvin's passing. He was such a wonderful man and great cattleman. We enjoyed his friendship so much and looked forward to seeing him at Hereford events. We will miss him.
