A long long time ago I knew Marv and the rest of the McKinnon clan. Used to spend time at their house on Phillip near Chandler Park Dr.
I also knew Joyce as she lived on Manistique I also lived on Manistique next to the Fire House. As I am getting older I am remembering the good old days when we went to dances, hung out at Karps Drug Store and played ping pong. We had great fun. Joyce if you are trying to figure out who I am it is Janet Fryer. Hope all is well with you and yours.

Mr. McKinnon was a very kind man, that held himself to a level that every man only wishes to achieve. I send my sympathy to the family. I ask God to place him with only the very best of people that are in Heaven. I send a hug to my very special friend Ken, the youngest son. Rick April

When we moved down the street from Marvin and Joyce, they were the first people to welcome us. That was 39 years ago and they have become a part of our family. I can´t think of a time when Marvin didn´t have a smile on his face and a fun story to share. No one who met him could forget his beautiful head of hair and Hawaiian shirts. Marv made an impression on everyone he met, and has left an imprint on our hearts!

Marvin was like a grandfather to my brother and I. He and Joyce came to everything from our piano recitals to our college graduations. He was wonderful to us and enriched our lives. He will be dearly missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Marv. We are truly going to miss his daily visits to Vasi´s Cafe to get his chocolate covered lemon donut! He was the highlight of my day! Prayers and love to his family and all who were blessed to have known him!
