Marvin Oswald Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father Marvin Oswald, who was called home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ June 21st at the age of 91. Marv, as he was lovingly referred to by everyone who knew him lived his life based on the foundations of his faith in God, commitment to his family and friends and keeping his word. He had a tremendous work ethic and a wonderful sense of humor, and there was nothing more precious to him than spending time with his family and friends. He had the gift of building relationships and was always ready to help anyone regardless of whether he knew them or not. He was a devoted husband to Joyce, Lillian, and Dee, and is survived by his son Bill Oswald, son Don Oswald (Nirran Wilson), daughter Jill Harris (Randy), son Kern, son Jon Oswald (Inger), son-in-law Mike Phillips, and grandchildren Jeni Phillips, Bobby Phillips, Trevor Harris, and Ryan Oswald.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Phillips.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude, a cause deeply important to him.
The family will be receiving visitors on Tuesday, July 9, 2-8PM, at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers and Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave, Royal Oak.
The funeral will take place on Saturday, July 13, 11am at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 30003 Ryan Rd., Warren, 48092.
