Mary M. Dickow

Mary Margaret Dickow, age 73, passed away peacefully at home in West Bloomfield, Michigan on March 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born on June 16, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, to Sharkey and Rita George. She was raised in Birmingham, MI where she spent her childhood and formed many lifelong friendships. Mary was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary was the beloved wife of Amir for 53 wonderful years. Together, they built a loving family that was the center of her life. She was the devoted mother of Stephanie Surowiec (Matt), Natalie Stacey (Ryan), Danielle Dickow, and Darren Dickow (Christine). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Madeleine, Michelle, Sophia, and Sienna who were the light of her life and kept her young at heart.

She is survived by her siblings Jim George (Denise), Steve George (Marilyn), Angela Lossia, and Tom George (Carol), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Mary had a warm spirit and a gift for friendship. She was cherished by many friends and family throughout her life. Her kindness, generosity, and devotion to those closest to her will be remembered always. Mary's love for her family and the joy she brought to others will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

May she rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who loved her.

Family will receive friends Sunday 3-6pm at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers, & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward (btw 13-14 Mile), Royal Oak, 248-549-0500. Funeral mass Monday 10am at St. Thomas Chaldean Catholic Church, 6900 W. Maple Rd., West Bloomfield.
