...I know we had been separated through the years, both trying to achieve our goals in life; but I will never forget the fun days you and I shared as kids and of course our high school years were a blast also..."Ka-on bust buto"... a phrase
you had coined...still rings clear in my mind! I'm glad we had a chance to connect last time I was home. You will always be in my prayers and I know we'll meet again some day!

My friend Marvin: For the past year you've been in my prayers every single day. I picture your smiling face and say "how fortunate I was to have spent some childhood years with you". I never got a chance to thank you for being at Jimmy's services, so thank you. I know you're watching over your family - may they always be safe. "Someday, we'll meet again".
Much aloha,
The Kawailoa gal, Nancy

My dearest brother. Time goes by so fast. I always have you in my heart & memories. Iam so glad to have had a brother like you. I really miss seeing you pass by my house in your car. But you are in a better place. You are talking stories with dad about fishing. I'll always remember the good times growing up & things we did.

To Uncle Marvin's O'Hana:
Words cannot say how much we will miss Uncle... although we have been far apart in miles, whenever we visited Hale'iwa and "talked story" with Uncle, it was always of fishing and family. Uncle, "...patch that 5 inch eye kala net, and don't catch them all at once!"
Aloha and God Bless...

Dear Shirley, Kathleen, and Peter:
I was so sorry to hear of Marvin's passing. I remember Marvin as the young kid playing behind the WHS auditorium during high school days.
My condolences to all of you.
He is somewhere better now.
Me Ke Aloha

I will always remember uncle Marvin for his kind smile and sweet disposition. My fondest memory is when I visited him one summer in California with my Grandfather. He was as wonderful as my grandfather bragged him up to be. I will always remember him for the loving care he unselfishly gave when my grandfather (his dad) was gravely ill. I will miss you uncle Marvin and I am comforted in knowing that you are there in heaven to spot the fish with Grandpa. Me Ke Aloha Kimberly

To Marvin's Family:
May it comfort you to know that we care very much, and we are deeply sorry for your loss.
We have good memories as children growing up in Kawailoa and Haleiwa. Marvin always had that mischievious smile, and he was a rascal, but he was a beautiful person. He was a friend of mine and a very good friend of my brother Richard's. We will miss him very much.
To our friend Marvin, may the angels always look after you. Sleep well, dear friend.

My precious little brother--I wish I could have been of more help to you. A handsome fellow; always wants to be where the ACTION is. You lived life to your fullest--go with our Lord, Marvin; rest in peace. I love you always--Shirley
