Marvin Peterson

MARVIN PETERSON was born on January 17, 1931 to Rose and Peter Peterson in Garvin Minnesota. He lived at home with his parents, two sisters, and brother until he was 15 years old. Marvin spent time at multiple facilities before moving into Rem Highland Ct in 1990. Marvin has since lived with the same housemates for more than 30 years. Marvin enjoyed attending Hope DAC for many years where he participated in many activities with coworkers and independently. On February 6, 2023, Marvin passed away peacefully at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 92 years, zero months, and 21 days.
One of Marvin's favorite things to do was visit with his sister Grace. After Grace passed, Marvin's niece would visit which Marvin loved. Marvin enjoyed many things in his life like watching Vikings football, listening to polka music, and attending the polka festival in Lake Benton. Marvin also enjoyed watching old westerns, going shopping, and eating strawberry milkshakes. He collected stuffed animals that he called "Bo-Bo's", as well as many styles of hats.
Marvin will be very missed by all who cared for him.
