Marvin Alfred Shellito

Marvin Alfred Shellito, 57, of Houghton Lake passed away Monday May 7, 2012 at his home. He was born January 2, 1955, in Lansing, Michigan to Martin & Martha(Warner) Shellito and spent most of his life in the Houghton Lake area. He graduated from Houghton Lake Community Schools in 1973. Marvin was married to Melvia Mandelka on October 31, 1998, in Roscommon, Michigan. He worked as a press operator for Lakeside Stamping in Houghton Lake for many years. Marvin loved to play BINGO. Marvin is survived by his wife, Melvia Shellito of Houghton Lake, son, Marvin Shellito II of Harrison, son, Kenneth Shellito of Houghton Lake, step-son, Toni Foreman of Texas, step-son, Mark Foreman of Houghton Lake, step-daughter Lynette Mey of Bay City, step-daughter, Stephanie Foreman of Houghton Lake, fifteen grandchildren, sister, Mary Stampski of Lansing, and, sister, Donna Morgan of Lansing. He was preceded in death by a step-son Christopher Foreman, brother, Marty, sisters Katie, Janet, and Marjorie. A Memorial service for Mr. Marvin Alfred Shellito will be conducted 5:00PM Friday May 11, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Harrison, 3088 Mostetler Road, Harrison, Michigan with Pastor Tim Tanner officiating.
