Marvin Lowell Simonson, 91, of Roseau, MN passed away at home on March 15, 2024. He was born in Roseau to Einar and Alice (Weaver) Simonson on November 3, 1932. Marvin spent 40 years traveling the midwest and Canada as a truck driver, first for Stordahl Trucking and then with Penner International. He logged a million miles, his only accident being hitting a moose.
Marvin loved horses. He had a barn full of them and earned many ribbons and trophies showing them over the years. Marvin also enjoyed flowers and mowing the grass. He was a member of the Horse & Saddle Club. Marvin loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.
Marvin is survived by his daughter Roxann Stoskopf, grandchildren Kirby Stoskopf and Kristi Njoku, great-grandchildren Annabelle, Hailey, Bailey, and Abigail, sister Audrey Baumgartner and best friend Barb Bakken.
He is preceded in death by his parents Einar and Alice, brother Orvin, and sisters Hazel Wolf and Gladie Markstrom.
