Marvin A. Sutton

Marvin A. Sutton, age 87 of Millville passed away Sunday evening, October 5, 2025 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Vineland surrounded by his loving family.

Born in his family homestead in Buckshutem to the late Alonzo and Doris Regina (Pflegher) Sutton, Marvin attended school in Port Norris.

For many years he worked as a mechanic for Red Pack Foods in Cedarville and retired.

His former memberships included: the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Millville, the Millville Moose Lodge, the Vineland Moose Lodge, and the Elks Lodge 580 of Millville. Volunteering for different events at the lodges allowed Marvin to spend time with his friends and give back to others.

In his other spare time, Marvin loved singing songs by Hank Williams Sr., playing BINGO and cards, especially Rummy, and working on the family farm, but most of all he cherished his time with his family.

Marvin will be sadly missed by his siblings, Joyce Anderson (Walter)- MO, Dianne Stackhouse (Jack Sr.) of Millville, Debra Gandy (Jesse Sr.) of Millville, Wayne Sutton Sr. of Millville, Clyde Sutton (Sharon) of Millville, and Ronald Sutton Sr. (Chellyne); many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Joan Morris, Frances Noblett, Adelia "Dee" Sheppard, Edwin Sutton Sr., and William Sutton.

A Memorial Service will begin at 12 noon on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville.
