Marvin Daniel Tyson, 74, of Easton, passed away Friday, October 31, 2025, at his home.
Born December 5, 1950, in Lake Wales, FL, he was a son of the late Maureen (Lockhart) Tyson Gray and Leroy Tyson.
He graduated from Easton Area High School, Class of 1969, where he played football and baseball. He served in the military.
Marvin was last employed by Green Pastures Community Church as sexton. He also worked in the past as a group home aide for Mt. Scott Learning Center. Previously, he was employed by Ardent Mills, as a car salesman for Koch 33 Toyota (Hecktown) and as club director of the Boys & Girls Club of Easton.
Affectionately known as "Danny", he loved sports especially golf, tennis, and reading. He loved sharing his knowledge and skill of playing tennis with anyone who shared a desire to master the sport. Marvin also enjoyed a good game of chess. He loved listening to the radio, catching the latest news and informational programs.
Marvin, as the first-born grandson, loved talking about the old times while living with his grandparents, Willie Mae and Minister Willie G. Lockhart, aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be greatly missed.
He was a member of the NAACP of Easton and Harkers Hollow Golf Club of Phillipsburg, NJ.
Marvin attended Green Pastures Community Church of Easton.
He leaves to mourn a son, Michael Ryan Storm, of Phillipsburg, NJ; a brother, Henry Tyson and his wife Theresa, of Jacksonville, FL, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Leroyal "Teddy" Tyson.
Services will be held at 11am Monday, November 10th, in Green Pastures Community Church, 28 N. 10th Street, Easton. Call Monday 10-11am in the church. Interment will be in Hay's Cemetery. The Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Easton, is in charge of arrangements. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
