Mary Staley Obituary
Born on October 15, 1933 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Margaret Elizabeth Royston and Joseph Horace Wear of Germantown, MD.
Mary was a 1951 graduate of Gaithersburg High School. After graduation she married Roby Lee Beall of Damascus, MD.
Mary worked at the Bank of Damascus, Naval Ordinance Laboratory Federal Credit Union, NIAID-NIH, and loved working at the Candy Kitchen in Frederick. She loved to travel and took several trips to Europe, she enjoyed singing and sang with the Sweet Adelines for many years, and loved to listen to barber shop quartets.
Mary is survived by sons Daniel L. Beall of Mt. Airy, MD, Charles E. Staley (Jackie) of Middletown, MD, daughter Karen E. Staley Talamini of Mt. Airy, MD; sisters Betty Jo Ganley and Dorothy Barber (Jim) of Smithsburg, MD; brother Joseph H. Wear Jr. (Kaye) of Bedford, VA; grandchildren Roby Beall (Denise), Jared Beall (Katie), Derek Boyer, Whitney Yoo (Patrick), Tara, Tyler, and Kristyn Staley, Randi Webb Dooley (David), Brian Webb (Kelly); great grandchildren Ava Beall, Jack Beall, Madilyn Beall, Dani Beall, Camden Beall, Addison Boyer, Talon Boyer, Bodhi Yoo, Charles (CJ) Reed, Jr., Cooper Webb, Colbie Webb; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by, sister Dinah Jones, infant grandson Danny Beall, daughter-in-law Jeanne Beall, brother-in-law Ed Ganley, and nephew John Ganley.
The family would like give special thanks to Sandy Yommer, Susan Graybill, and Kelly Lynott, for the exceptional care they provided for Mary over the last few years.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Locust Valley Bible Church, 1323 Marker Road, Middletown, MD 21769. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary's memory to Kline Hospice House, c/o Frederick Health Hospice, Kline House Fund, 1 Frederick Health Way, Frederick MD 21701 or Locust Valley Bible Church, 1323 Marker Road, Middletown, MD 21769.
