Mary Ann Boomgaarden, formerly of Rigby, Idaho, passed away on September 27, 2025, in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin. She was born on February 1, 1933, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Charles Caskey and Ruby Ruth Donham.
Mary Ann completed high school and married Daniel Edward Boomgaarden. She was employed with U.S. Navy Exchange and as part of military life, lived in numerous states throughout her lifetime. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was actively involved with Navy Wives, the VFW Women’s Chapter and the Senior Center Board.
Her hobbies included making Diamond Art and Skip-Bo, as well as sewing.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughters; Patricia Ann Leonhardt (John) of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin; Cheryl McGoldrick (Neil) of Island Park, New York; and Ann Marie McGoldrick (Kevin) of Boise, Idaho, and one son Charles Edward Boomgaarden (Tammy) of Rigby, Idaho. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and eighteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Edward Boomgaarden and her parents.
Funeral services for Mary Ann will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints building located at 364 North 4100 East, Rigby, Idaho. A visitation will take place prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
