Mary Ann Halm, 92 of Fremont, OH passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, August 26, 2024 at Elmwood Assisted Living. She was born on January 16, 1932 in Fremont, OH to Thomas and Bernadette (Eberly) Recktenwald. She was a 1949 graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School.
Mary Ann married Glenn “Mouse” Halm on June 14, 1952 and he preceded her in death on December 11, 2021. She worked at Croghan Colonial Bank as a teller and in the payroll department for many years until she retired. She was also the organist at St. Ann Catholic Church in her younger years. Mary Ann was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Fremont Country Club where she enjoyed golfing.
Mary Ann is survived by her sons, Bill (Laurie) Halm, John Halm and Tom Halm, all of Fremont; sister, Martha Reed of North Carolina; grandchildren, Nick (Katie), Kelly (Dane), Jake (Julia), David, Molly (Mark), Elizabeth (Chris), Caroline (Steve), Pierce and Lance; great grandchildren, Sophie, Henry, Liam, Harrison, Emmett, Naomi, Simone, Aine, Tiernan, Tadhg, Amelia, Eva and Ivy.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will take place on Friday, August 30, 2024 from Noon to 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church.
Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorials can be made in Mary Ann’s honor to Bishop Hoffman Catholic Schools, St. Joseph Catholic Church or Donor’s Choice.
