Mary Ann Weigel Obituary
Mary Ann Weigel, age 89, from Gorham, Kansas passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Russell Regional Hospital, Russell, Kansas.
She was born August 26, 1935, on the family farm North East of Gorham to John and Cora E. (Goodman) Dockendorf. She married Hubert F. Weigel on April 22, 1954, at Gorham. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2002.
Mary Ann was an executive secretary to the bank president at The Gorham State Bank, and retired in October of 1992.
She was raised on the family farm and was a rancher all of her life. She attended school in Gorham, was a graduate of the Gorham High School, and a member of Saint Mary’s Help of Christians Catholic Church.
Mary Ann is survived by her nieces, Pam Bryan and husband, Robert, of Texas; Barbara Reyelts and husband, Dean, of Gorham; Coleen Carrico and husband, Tracy, of Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; John and Cora; her husband, Hubert; her brother, Leo Dockendorf; her nephews, Curtis Dockendorf, and Bruce Weigel.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary, Victoria, Kansas with Pastor Brenda Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Saint Mary Cemetery, Gorham, Kansas.
The Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, and from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary Victoria, Kansas.
