Mary Esposito Apicella of Orange, formerly of Branford, and recently cared for at Carriage Green in Milford, passed away on June 23, 2025 at the age of 102. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Apicella. She is survived by her son Andrew Apicella (Michele Rose) of Orange, daughter-in-law Rosalie Apicella of Branford, brother Robert Esposito (Maria) of East Haven, two grandchildren Melissa Apicella Costanzo (David) of Wallingford and Joseph Apicella (Lauren) of Guilford, two great grandchildren Sofia Apicella and Tyler Costanzo, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Anthony J. Apicella, and her siblings Andrew, Ralph, Thomas, Anthony, Roseann Baroncini, and Angela Soto.
Mary was born in New Haven on January 25, 1923, a daughter of Salvatore and Adeline Gambardella Esposito. She was a bookkeeper for Coclin Tobacco in Milford for many years. In her later years she helped her brother Bobby at his store, the Branford Book and Card Shoppe. Mary most enjoyed taking care of her family and friends, participating in her church and exercise classes, and keeping her family very well fed.

Friends may call prior to the Mass from 10:30 to 11:30 at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford. Mary and Joe were our neighbors for years at Cedar Knolls Branford. They were a very friendly, kind couple. May they rest together in God´s peace.

Mary was a Wonderful Person. I met her at the Branford Card Store about 25 years ago. She was so nice to me then and for all the years after. I would like to express my sincere condolences to her Family and hope, Mary , you are resting in peace with all your family members who died before you. Rest in Eternal Comfort my Friend
