Mary Artmann Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sharkey Funeral Home on Nov. 25, 2025.
Mary Dean Beasley Artmann, age 79, peacefully passed away into the arms of her Heavenly Father, at her daughter's residence in Summit, MS on November 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and gentle strength that will endure for generations. She was born September 9, 1946, in Amite County, to Robert Luther and Mable Callender Beasley.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 1, 2025 from 11 am until time of services at 1 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Liberty, MS. Interment will immediately follow at Blalock Cemetery under the direction of Catchings-Sharkey Funeral Home.

She devoted her life to loving God, serving her family, and lifting others with her kindness and light. Her testimony was strong, her prayers heartfelt, and her devotion to reading the scriptures unwavering. She found joy in life's simple and meaningful pleasures-writing poetry that touched hearts, piecing together puzzles with patience and skill, and spending quiet moments with her favorite word-seek books. She celebrated every holiday with enthusiasm, ensuring each one felt warm, special, and full of love-and good food. Her happiest moments were always those spent surrounded by her family, where her nurturing spirit shone brightest. She was a devoted and wonderful mother. Her presence brought comfort, her counsel brought peace, and her love brought strength.

She was retired. She worked at Blalock's Food Center for many years after having worked on the family chicken farm, Service Master and Croft Metals. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers--Robert Lum Beasley and David Carroll Beasley, and two sisters--Janie Mae Baggett and Ruby Francis Carraway.
