Mary Barree

Mary was Born Aug 02, 1943, in Port Lavaca to William Harvell and Georgia Gatliff Harvell. Mary married Albert on February 1, 1959, in Port Lavaca. After marriage, they started their life together where they had 5 children and 2 angel babies. They raised their children between Port Lavaca and San Saba, while Albert worked. They moved to San Saba in 1976 where they lived the rest of their lives, taking care of the ones she loved. She was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Mary was a one-of-a-kind woman. She was always there to lend a hand. Mary spent the last years of her life enjoying her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-granddaughter. Mary loved her family more than life itself. She enjoyed spending time outdoors doing things like camping, fishing, and gardening. She was always ready for a camping trip, especially if fishing and family were involved. However, she had many hardships in her life she never gave up. She loved cooking and teaching her family how to cook. Mary also loved to sew. She spent many years sewing clothing and things for her family. Mary had a strong love for God. She made sure to pass that on to her children. She also made it her mission in life to teach her children to respect others, Although she has now gone to heaven, she will live on in the hearts of the family she created forever.
Mary is survived by her daughters Charlotte Kelley and husband Lawrence of Meridian and Sherry Barree of San Saba. Her son Darrell Barree of Abilene. 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Brother William Harvell of San Saba. A special nephew Roy Barree and his wife Debbie of Arkansas. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Mary was preceded in death by her father William W. Harvell, and Mother Georgia Gatliff Harvell, husband Albert Barree, son Buster D. Barree, daughters Debra J. Barree, and Traci C. McWhirter, two angel babies, and great-granddaughters Jayden R. Mcwhirter and Natalie N. Kelley.
Pallbearers: Chris Barree, Ronnie Kelley, Jeremy Barree, Timothy Barree, Cody McWhirter, Gage McWhirter and Lawrence Kelley.
Honorary pallbearers: Chris DeChaume, Roy Barree, Roy Crawford, Tyler Faichtinger, Seth Barree, Zachery Barree, Lane DeChaume, Samuel Thompson, and Luke Barazas.
Services for Mary will be held Monday, February 19, 2024, at Heritage Funeral Home, the Family invites friends and family to come join them for visitation at 1:00 PM, Chapel service for Mary will be at 2:00 PM, following to Shaw Bend Cemetery.
