Mary Ann Benton, age 71, of Greenock, PA, died on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. She was born in McKeesport, PA, on May 22, 1954 and was the daughter of the late Herman Egenlauf and Lena McGarrity Warman.
She was employed as a personal care aide for many years. Mary enjoyed playing bingo, word searches, facetiming her grandson Caleb, eating her strawberry candies, and having breakfast with her sister Donna at Denny’s.
Mary is survived by her children, Linda (John) Baranchak of Greenock, PA; Jamie (Dave) Decamp of White Oak, PA; and Paul Egenlauf of McKeesport, PA; step-son, Terri (Diana) Benton of Connellsville, PA; grandchildren, Miranda Baranchak; Kearstan (Matt) Devries; Caleb Decamp; Cheyanne (Cody) Dishong; Savannah Egenlauf; and Christopher Benton; great-grandchildren, Jordan Grey; and Vincent Dishong; sisters, Donna (the late Perry) Ackerman; and Tammy (Chris Clark) Chisco of McKeesport, PA; her bird, Buddy; grand-dogs, Parker Douglas; and Sexy Rexy; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Darwin Benton; brothers, Herman Egenlauf; Gary Egenlauf; Ronald Egenlauf; Thomas “Nick” Warman; and David Egenlauf; and sisters, Emma “Bugga” Ackerman; Paula Ridge; and Anna Egenlauf.
Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Mary Ann’s memory on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177). Services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A burial will follow at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
