Mary Bernadette Sciple Oerting Obituary
Mary is the daughter of the late Samuel Ralph Sciple Jr and Etta Lee Carter Sciple. She is survived by her devoted husband Julius David Oerting, her children Julie (Greg) Stallings, Patty (Tom) Gargulinski, Cindy Oerting, Cathy (Steve) Summers, and Dan (Cherie) Oerting; her grandchildren Chris and Tony Gargulinski and Josh and Emily Summers; and her seven siblings Samuel Ralph "Sam" Sciple (Lynne), Norman Joseph Sciple (Barbara), Etta Mae Sciple, Rosemary Schock (Jim), Catherine "Cathy" Lightcap (Ricky), Marcia Ann Reed (Rick), and Mary Margaret "Moggie" Spotswood (Bobby).
Mary was a loving wife of 62 years, 10 years a military wife, a stay-at-home mom to five for 17 years, then had a career as an executive assistant supporting the CEO and Chairman of Havertys Furniture.
Flowers may be sent to Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 101 Walt Banks Rd, Peachtree City, GA 30269 for her funeral at 11:00 on Tuesday 2/15/22. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
