Ms. Mary Louise Blakely was born on Sunday, August 17th, 1952, to both the late Margaret Belton Blakely and Edward Robert Blakely in Mitchell, GA. She departed this life on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, while at her home at the tender age of 71.
Mary was educated in the McDuffie School System of Georgia. She held various jobs throughout her lifetime. Mary was baptized at an early age and attended the United House of Prayer for All People under the leadership of the late Bishop Walter McCollough.
Mary loved her family immensely and enjoyed visiting with her friends as often as she could. In her spare time, she also enjoyed watching television and shopping. She had a passion for cooking.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by four siblings, Margaret Edwards, Donald Blakely, Debra Neal and Edward Blakely. She leaves to cherish many special memories: a loving and devoted son, Lakeith Blakely of Dearing, GA; one daughter, Patrina Blakely of Dearing, GA; four grandchildren, Keithtavious Blakely, Chaze Blakely, Jada Blakely and Keywan Blakely; three sisters, Joanne (Willie, Jr. "Pete") Booker, Cynthia (Arthur) Benton and Rebecca Williams, all of Thomson, GA; a brother, Clarence (Brenda) Blakely of Thomson, GA; one additional brother-in-law, Marcus Edwards of Dearing, GA; one aunt, Barbara Hart of Thomson, GA; one sister-in-law, Lorese Blakely of Philadelphia, PA; a devoted friend, Sim McNair of Dearing, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and many additional countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity.
