Mary Glen Bogenschutz, 88, of Fort Wayne, died Monday March 3, 2025 at The Towne House Retirement Community. Mary was born in Coleman, Texas on February 20, 1937, the daughter of (the late) Carl and Frieda Lee (Moschel) Fleming. Mary earned her bachelors degree from Texas Women's University and her masters degree from Indiana University. She was a Music Teacher at Franklin Middle School and a Guidance Counselor; she also worked as a travel agent with Covington Travel.
Mary was a member at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, along with St. John the Baptist where she was heavily involved in the church community. She was a member of Tri-Kappa. She was an avid reader and sports fan; she was associated with the Limberlost Girl Scouts/Camp Logan for many years, as a camp counselor and a group leader. She enjoyed travel and culture, cooking and she cherished the time she spent with her family and her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mary was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Bogenschutz, as well as her brother, Carl O. Fleming and son-in-law, Brian Woodfill. Mary is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Sonya) Bogenschutz of Carmel and P. Neil (Amy) Bogenschutz of Cicero; daughters, Celeste (James) Kichefski of Lincolnville ME, Amy (Dave) Korte of Angola and Molly (Todd) Jordan of Fort Wayne; sister-in-law Pat Fleming in Texas and 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services 11:00am Monday March 10, 2025 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. with visitation from 10-11am in the funeral home. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
