Mary Lois Bowman, 69, of Columbus, passed away August 9th, 2025.
Mary was born April 3rd, 1956 in San Antonio, TX to George and Grace (Saunders) Bowman. Professionally, Mary was self-employed owning her own cleaning business for several decades in the Boerne, Fair Oaks, TX area.
She was an avid gardener, serious scrabble player, and loved listening to oldies with her friends and sisters. She enjoyed spending her time with grandchildren and splitting her time between Ohio, Texas and Myrtle Beach, SC. Mary was a great listener, a compassionate and caring friend and always prayed for others well-being. Mary loved attending Summit Church in San Antonio TX, and the Cowboy Church in Boerne, TX.
Mary will be deeply missed by her longtime partner Steven Lewis, sisters, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Grandchildren: Emma Snouffer, Brendan Snouffer, Bethany Rodriguez, Stephanie Greiner, Marcus Adams, Kendra Burrow, James Adam Burrow, Dylan Burrow.
Great-grandchildren: June Burrow, Hyndrix Burrow, Sebastian Rodriguez, Alex Rodriguez, Desmond Rodriguez, Savanah Adams, Adriana Adams, Xavier Adams, Mia Adams
Parents: George V. Bowman, Grace Saunders Bowman
Brother: Thomas Bowman
Sisters: Anne Hershey, Danna Shadwick
Mary was preceded in death by her Parents George and Grace Bowman, Grandson Brendan Snouffer, Brother-in-law Gavin Shadwick and Nephew Tyler Shadwick.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 14th, 2025 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus. Funeral services will be Friday, August 15th, 2025 at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Rodney Richberg officiating. The burial will be at Blendon Central Cemetery, 6330 South Hempstead, Rd, Westerville, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSU campus).
