Mary Lillian Olivier Broussard

New Iberia, LA – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Mary Lillian Broussard, 85, the former Mary Lillian Olivier, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Saint Katharine Drexel Family Life Center, 175 Ambassador W. Lemelle Drive, with Fr. Donald Bernard, Celebrant, officiating.
Entombment will follow in St. Edward Catholic Church Cemetery (Dale Street) in New Iberia, LA.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Saint Katharine Drexel Family Life Center beginning at 7:30 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 A.M.
Mary was born on March 5, 1940, to the union of the late Joseph Vernet Olivier, Sr. and Theresa Victoria Boutte Olivier. She was a resident of New Iberia, LA, who departed this earthly life on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Maison Teche Nursing Center in Jeanerette, LA.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Herman Paul Broussard, Jr. and wife Angela and Clarence Joseph Broussard and wife Lenora, both of New Iberia, LA; one daughter, Mary Angela B. Franklin and husband William "Bill" of Pearland, TX; three grandchildren, Casey Broussard, Courtney B. Fitch and husband Tyler, and Cody Broussard and wife Kelsie; four great-grandchildren, Gavin Kading, Collin Kading, Cohen Broussard, and Tate Fitch; two sisters, Viola Boutte and Laura Olivier; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, godchildren, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Paul Broussard, Sr.; parents, Joseph V. Olivier, Sr. and Theresa B. Olivier; four brothers, Lon Olivier, Joseph Olivier, Jr., George Olivier, Sr., and Allen Olivier; five sisters, Louise Olivier, Lucy Labbe, Rita LeDee, Alberta Villery, and Agnes Butler, her fraternal twin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clarence and Helen O. Broussard.
