Mary Ann Brozick

1936 - 2025

Mary Ann (Robertson) Brozick, 89, of Blairsville, PA, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025, at her home. Born in Derry, PA, on May 16, 1936, the daughter of Arthur James and Mary M. (Shick) Robertson. She graduated from Derry Area High School in 1954 and got her nursing degree from Pittsburgh in 1957. She retired from Torrance State Hospital in 1990. She was a member of SS. Simon and Jude Church, where she belonged to the Angels of Compassion, CDA, and helped on the finance council and cemetery committee. She loved playing in all of her card clubs with her friends. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John W. Brozick, whom she married on June 4, 1960; a son, David Brozick, of Blairsville; a daughter, Lisa Halmes and husband, Steve, of Blairsville; a daughter-in-law, Susan Dunning, of Newtown, PA; grandchildren, Nicholas and Steven Halmes, Brian Hockin and wife, Elizabeth, and Paul Hockin and wife, Lindsay; four great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; a brother, William Robertson, of Derry, PA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, John W. "Jack" Brozick Jr., in 1989; a stillborn in 1965; brothers, James Robertson and wife, Martha, and Gerald Robertson; and sister, Jane Mathis, and husband, Jim. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2025, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & MONUMENT COMPANY, Blairsville, PA. A Wake service will be held in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in SS Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville, PA, with Father Segundino Laude officiating.
