Mary Burrows, 74, of Chetopa, passed away at 10:26 a.m., Sunday, December 28, 2025, at her residence.
Mary Jane Camper was born on January 25, 1951, to Glen and Mildred (Baker) Camper in Chetopa, Kansas. She grew up and attended school in Chetopa, graduating from Chetopa High School.
She enjoyed the outdoors, especially going fishing and taking care of her chickens and cows. Going to the casino and playing bingo were also favorite pastimes. She loved spending time with her family, including her dog, Ragnar.
Survivors include:
Two sons – Billy Burrows (Trudy) of Chetopa, Kansas
Lloyd Burrows, Jr.
Eight grandchildren
Three great-grandchildren
Three brothers – Butch Camper of rural Oswego, Kansas
Joe Camper (Alta) of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma
Danny Camper (Barb) of Alaska
Four sisters – Lilly Hurley (Dan) of Oswego, Kansas
Linda Gange of Oswego, Kansas
Maxine Hulett of Washington
Phyllis Olsen of Liberty, Kansas
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd Burrows, Sr.; and two brothers, Jim Camper and Jack Camper.
No service has been planned at this time. Cremation is under the care of the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Chetopa.
