Mary Jane Cadarette, age 79, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025. She was born on July 12, 1946 to the late Merle Wescott and Ruth (Richissin) Wescott, in Detroit, Michigan, and was lovingly raised in Wyandotte, where she spent her early years surrounded by family and community.

Mary shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Louis Cadarette. The two met through a mutual friend and were blessed with 57 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, faith, and family. Together they raised three children, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and steadfast support.

She was a proud and loving mother to her daughter Kimberly (Kevin) Greficz, and her sons Bob Cadarette and Chris (Anna) Cadarette. Mary’s greatest joy was her family, especially her five cherished grandchildren: Danielle, Brandon, Samantha, Ethan, and Logan, who brought her endless happiness and pride.

Mary Jane was known for her thoughtful nature and unwavering dedication to those she loved. She had a generous heart and was always supportive of her family, offering encouragement, wisdom, and quiet strength. Her faith was central to her life; she deeply enjoyed talking about the Lord and studying the Bible, and her beliefs guided her with grace and humility.

In her quieter moments, Mary found joy in simple pleasures—reading, visiting with people, and taking scenic drives in the fall, which she especially loved. She also delighted in playing cards and, as family fondly recalls, often winning.

Mary was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and spent many years working in data processing at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Detroit, from which she retired after a dedicated career marked by reliability and professionalism.

She is also remembered for her meaningful friendship with Charleen, whose companionship brought her comfort and joy.

Mary Cadarette will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, faithful servant of God, and a kind soul whose presence made others feel valued and cared for. Her legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
