Mary Anne Caputo (Corrigan), 82, of North Sewickley, PA passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford on Saturday, May 31, 2025 after an extended illness. She was born in Ellwood City, Pa. on October 22, 1942; the daughter of the late Edward and Mary ("Lena") Corrigan. After graduating from Lincoln High School in 1959, she attended Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA, ultimately obtaining a Master's degree in Biology. A talented baseball player as a youngster, she was often portrayed by her childhood friends as being "the best ball-player amongst us." As an adult she played softball for many years on the McDowell's Koppel team and was also was an avid bowler, playing in leagues and tournaments around Ellwood and beyond. A fierce Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins fan, she also followed many of the local college and high school sports teams.
