Mary “Carol” Carolyn Jamison, 76, of Gordon County, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023. She was born on January 6, 1947, to the late Robert and Elsie Mae Childers. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Elaine Mills and Janice Childers; and niece, Joy Mills.
Carol blessed and touched many lives in her community. She organized many fundraisers for the Fire Fighters and First Responders. She also helped with many disaster relief services. She volunteered with the community church shop in Adairsville and food pantries. Carol participated in any way she could when it came to helpings others. She was known as “Mama Carol” to many.
Carol is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert “Bob” Jamison; children, Dwayne (Tammie) Jamison and Sheri (Ken) Bradley; grandchildren, Zach (Ashley) Jamison, Jody (Megan) Jamison, Eric Bradley, April Bradley, Jacob Bradley; and 9 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 30, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Quarles officiating and music arranged by Stephen Miller. A private burial will take place at a later date in Georgia National Cemetery. Pallbearers are Zach Jamison, Jody Jamison, Eric Bradley, Jacob Bradley, Tommy Matthews, and Robby Abernathy.
