Mary Coleman Obituary
Mrs. Mary Tillman Coleman, 85, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Ogeechee Area Hospice. Mrs. Coleman was born in Statesboro to the late Lester Tillman and Irene Hodges Tillman on August 25, 1939. She worked for several years as a seamstress at Pembroke Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Coleman enjoyed doing housework, yardwork, planting her vegetable garden and was an excellent cook.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Andy Coleman, Sr. of 57 years; daughter, Cindy Threatt; son, Wade Allen Coleman and granddaughter, Elizabeth Lynn Crider.
Survivors include her son, Andy Coleman, Jr. (Jenny) of Pembroke; one daughter, Melinda Chassereau (Wyman) of Pembroke; five grandchildren, Allen Chassereau, Chance Jacob Chassereau, Andy Allen Coleman, Jessica Vance and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Flanders Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stan Tyson officiating.
Burial will be held at Northside Cemetery.
