She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald R. Compton Sr. and her sister Judith Madison Adams.
She is survived by her son, Donald Ray (Kimberly) Compton of Prestonsburg, KY, and her daughter Terry (Greg) Spradlin of Nicholasville, KY. Her grandchildren Trevor (Deanna) Compton of Prestonsburg, KY, Zachary (Brigid) Spradlin of Alexandria, VA, and Julie (Daniel) Whitt of Lexington, KY.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 12 noon at the First Presbyterian Church, Prestonsburg, KY, with Tommy Poe officiating. Burial will follow in the Porter Cemetery, Prestonsburg, KY, visitation is from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday, April 10, 2026 at the church, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 1430 N. Lake Dr., Prestonsburg, KY 41653, Floyd County Animal Shelter, 545 Sally Stephens BR., Prestonsburg, KY 41653 or Bluegrass Care Navigators, 1733 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington KY 40504
