Mary Conklin Miers
Mary Conklin Miers, 95, passed away on November 25, 2025, in Valley Health Services, Herkimer.
Mary was born on June 15, 1930 in Herkimer, NY, to the late Joseph and Elvira Piscione Cartagirone and she attended schools there. She was married to Albert Conklin on December 18, 1948 in St. Anthony's Church, Herkimer. Mr. Conklin passed away on November 28, 1976. She later married Robert J. Miers Sr. on November 23, 1984 in Blessed Sacrament Church, Mohawk. Mr. Miers passed away on July 2, 2017.
Mary is survived by her two sons and daughters in law, Alan Conklin and Gary and his wife, Mary Louise Conklin; one daughter, Edythe Cochren; one brother, John Cartagirone; one sister, Tina Caiola; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary is preceded in death by her son, William Bradley Conklin, one brother, Vincent, two sisters, Joanne and Kathy.
Interment services will be held in the spring of 2026 in Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, Herkimer.
