Mr William E. Vore

William Vore, 77, passed away on October 22, 2025, in NYS Veterans Home, Oxford, NY.

He was born in Oklahoma City, OK., on January 29, 1948 the son of the late Larry and Viola Doble Vore. He attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1966. Following his schooling Billy joined the US Navy and served during the Vietnam War and was Honorably Discharged on July 1, 1971. He was at one time married to Diane Werthman. He was at one time employed by Union Fork and Hoe, Bendix and retired from Mohawk Metals retiring in 2000. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and Annunciation Church and a member of the VFW post 4915, Herkimer.

Billy is survived by his son and daughter in law, William and Devyn Vore, of Victor, ID his daughter, Jessica Vore of Whitesboro; his twin brother, Charles Vore of Schuyler; one brother in law, Richard Niznik of Myrtle Beach; three grandchildren, Sepp Vore, Owen Vore and Zoe Shafer and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Billy was preceded in death by his father and mother, Larry and Viola Doble Vore and his sister, Vicki Niznik.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 10:30 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, S. Frankfort St., Frankfort where his Mass of Christian Burial by the Rev. Paul Catena, Pastor.

His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Frankfort.
