Mary Priscilla (Dedrick) Connelly, age 96, of Swampscott, died at the Bertram House on Friday surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Clement E. Connelly. Born and raised in Swampscott, she was the daughter of the late Jonathan and Mary (Mulligan) Dedrick. A graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy in Brighton, she had lived in Marblehead for many years before returning to Swampscott. Priscilla worked as an office clerk for General Electric, and had also worked as a salesperson at the former Jordan Marsh. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Swampscott. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, and had been a volunteer at her children's schools. She is survived by her son, Mark Connelly of Nahant; three daughters; Claire Connelly of Swampscott, Sheila Henry and her husband Michael of Ashland, and Patty Portnoy and her husband Arthur of Lynchburg, VA; her brother; Jonathan Dedrick of Peabody, as well as 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. She was the mother of the late Clement Connelly, Jr. and sister of the late William Dedrick. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8AM from the SOLIMINE, LANDERGAN AND RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME, 67 Ocean St. (Rt 1A), Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, Swampscott at 9AM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 2-4PM & 7-9PM. Those who prefer may make donations to St. John the Evangelist Church, 147 Humphrey St. Swampscott, MA 01907.
