Mary Louise Cooper

Mary Louise Cooper, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on October 28, 2024, at the age of 83. She was born in Canton to the late Robert and Helen Paul. Mary was a familiar face within her community, well-known for her expertise as a cosmetologist. She ran her own beauty business and dedicated her time to making others feel beautiful, whether through hair styling or teaching Sunday School at Canton Baptist Temple, a place she held dear to her heart.
Beyond her passion for hair styling, Mary was also an active volunteer, often lending her talents to pressing hair and creating wigs for cancer survivors. She also dedicated some of her time working part-time at Reed Funeral Home, using her skills to help the departed look their best for their final journey.
Mary found joy in simple pleasures, indulging in arts and crafts to express her creativity. Her warm spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband James W. Cooper in 2015. She is survived by her sons Robert Aman of Canton, Ronald Aman of Willow, Alaska, and Timothy Aman of San Diego, CA; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers Robert Paul of Holiday FL and Larry Paul of Canton; and sister Patricia Slatzer of Canton.
Family and friends are invited to attend the calling hours/visitation on November 7, 2024, at Reed Funeral Home 705 Raff Road Canton from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm to pay their respects. Funeral Service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mike Frazier officiating. Interment at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
Mary will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
